Dental Pulp Regeneration with Light

“The most frequent health problem in the world is the loss of dental pulp vitality due to trauma or infectious diseases. This leads to the need for root canal treatment, which decreases the vitality and impairs the function of teeth.” “To circumvent this problem, these researchers are looking for strategies to regenerate lost dental pulp tissue through either cell therapy or tissue engineering.” This study used near infrared and red light to encourage dental pulp cell regeneration. This is another great reason to shine with light as a daily health routine. I shine my red, infrared and blue light pads around my jaw as part of a daily relaxation, pain relief and body alignment session. My gums stopped receding as the result of my light use. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27927605
